Indian Man Calls Female TV Host "Baby" On Air, Host Goes BALLISTIC

RVCJ- Yesterday, Karni Sena set a school bus on fire, thereby putting lives of children at risk. There seems to be no end to the controversies. While Karni Sena is protesting for maintaining the respect of Rajput women, one of their supporters used a not-so-good language on National TV.

A Karni Sena supporter Surajpal Amu went on a live show on News X; protests and especially the attack on Gurugram school bus was being discussed. Amidst this, Surajpal Amu, a BJP leader, addressed the anchor of News X Sanjana Chowhan as “BABY”. While she was talking something, he said, “Listen to me baby…listen to me..”

He casually used this word for her, which in turn left the anchor super-angry. Sanjana Chowhan blasted at him for using this word. She said that Karni Sena is fighting for the pride of Rajput women & on the other hand, the supporter is using words like “Baby” on National TV.

I don’t know exactly what’s going on in India with their language, but holy moly what a bunch of nonsense. Trying to figure out the backstory to this exchange, based on this article, was like deciphering code. Not only that, but what’s up with the two people on TV switching back and forth between English and what I assume is Hindi? Pick a fucking language and stick with it.

Have you ever hung out with bilingual people, and they switch back and forth between Spanish and English? You know they’re just doing it to exclude the people at the table from their conversation, to make you feel inferior. “Look at you, only proficient in one language. Si, you are a moron.” It’s the most insufferable douche move in the fucking world. Oh, you want to have a secret conversation right in my face? Well guess what, I’m having a secret conversation about you in my head, and all the voices agree that you’re a dickhead.

I did a bit of research and here’s what I learned: Karni Sena is a protest group that tries to represent the Rajput caste, which is like a tribe? Maybe? Anyway, the dude with the beard on TV is a member of this group and he came on the show to argue for improving the rights of Rajput women. In other words, this dude:

… is a feminist. Even though he looks like the lovechild of a French mime and Osama Bin Ladin.

Halfway through the interview, he says “listen to me, baby.” The host, Sanjana Chowhan, does NOT take kindly to this. Clearly, she did not think they were at that point in the relationship. She’s still dating other guys! And baby is so much more aggressive than babe or sweetie. I wouldn’t call a girl baby unless I were a cool, black R&B singer and I’d been dating the girl for a year. I’d even wager that Usher uses the term carefully.

When you call your girl “baby” but it’s too soon:
